Fellowship Baptist Church
 Welcome to Celebrate Recovery! Minimize

The purpose of Fellowship Baptist Church’s “Celebrate Recovery” is to fellowship and to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving the problems in our lives.

By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ.

Welcome to an amazing spiritual adventure!

 Small Groups Currently Meeting Minimize

Chemically Dependent
(Individual Men's and Women's Groups)
If you find that you cannot quit drinking or using entirely, even when you honestly want to, or if you have little control over the amount that you consume, you are probably an alcoholic and/or an addict. If this is the case, you may be suffering from a problem that only a spiritual solution will conquer.

Co-Dependency
(Women's Group)
A group for those who constantly seek approval and affirmation, who struggle with the compulsion to rescue and take care of others, have difficulty setting boundaries and recognizing their own worth. Members of this group learn their true identity and how to express their own needs in healthy ways.

Physical, Emotional, and Sexual Abuse
(Women's Group)
This is a group for women who have endured past physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. Recovery includes healing from the trauma done to us at some time in our past as well as healing from the influence that these past experiences continue to have in our lives.

Sexual Issues, Struggles & Addictions
(Men's Group)
This is a group for men seeking recovery from lust and compulsive sexual behaviors. This group provides fellowship, is a safe place to share our struggles, pain, and victories, and helps to establish accountability and mutual support among the group members throughout the week.

Compulsive Overeating and food Addiction
(Women's Group)
Do you eat when you're not hungry? Is your weight affecting the way you live your life? Do you give too much time and thought to food? Do you overeat by bingeing or by grazing continuously? Is food your friend? Are you tired of losing the SAME 20 pounds, only to regain them back and more? If you answer 'yes' to three or more of these questions, then this group is for you. Ladies, oftentimes it is not what you eat... it's what's eating you! Let Jesus recapture your heart and deliver you from your addiction to food. Join us. We will take this journey together, through love, support and accountability.

Anger
(Individual Men's and Women's Groups)
A recovery group for those who find that anger is their first response to problems of any size. The anger may be very evident as rage, or less obvious in terms of withdrawal and isolation. These groups focus on managing a God-given emotion in constructive ways.

Family of Those Who Struggle with Addictions
(Women's Group)
The family problem of addiction made us "co-victims"-those who take on the characteristics of the addict without necessarily ever taking a drink, or using. Choosing to recognize and exit the modeled behaviors is the beginning of our recovery.

Women Affected by Sexual Addiction and Betrayal

(Women's Group)

A group for women whose spouse is currently having or has had an affair or is addicted to pornography or inappropriate sexual behaviors.  Our group provides a safe place to share our fear, hurt or anger and encouragement to find peace, strength and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
